Your role:
The Electro-Mechanic Technician performs planned and scheduled maintenance repairs, and/or modification of the plant’s mechanical and electrical systems. The Electro-Mechanic Technician is involved in fabrication, application, installation, and repair of mechanical and electromechanical equipment. The technician is responsible for a variety of duties including but not limited to line repairs, parts replacement, completing work orders, participation in PM’s, cleaning, and lubricating equipment according to pre-set standards, performing teardowns and set-up of equipment and performing emergency troubleshooting and repairs when needed. Electro-Mechanic technicians are responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of automated production equipment in a 24/7 food facility, while observing all safety regulations and ensuring GMP and quality standards are met to maintain the efficient flow of production.

Your responsibilities:
· Scheduled Equipment Repair & Inspection - Ensure scheduled equipment repairs and inspections are done correctly, safely, and in a timely matter. Provide accurate and timely communication to the asset owners and maintenance supervision after repairs and/or inspections are complete or when new defects are identified. Ensure accurate documentation is recorded on Work Orders.
· Continuous Improvement - Working on plant improvement projects including 5S projects, safety, and other forms of technical training. Maintaining and developing maintenance procedures and systems.
· Emergency Repair & Support– Provide emergency troubleshooting, repair and support in a safe manner as needed. This may involve utilizing outside resources, calling for technical support, etc. This can be during any shift or in a call-in or after-hours situation.
Essential skills and experience:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· 2 - 5 years of mechanical experience and/or electrical experience.
· Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in mechanical systems.
· Has demonstrated the ability to work within a diverse group, communicate effectively, motivate others, foster teamwork, and exhibit self-control and awareness.
· Able to troubleshoot mechanical systems by working with operations and/or utilizing outside resources.
· Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and other reference materials.
· Able to understand the operating context of site assets and how they impact production.
· Strong mechanical aptitude.
· Basic computer skills.
· Excellent Communication Skills - written and verbal.
· Ability to prioritize, coordinate and accomplish multiple tasks.
Good to have:
· Associates Degree in a technical field, either a mechanical or electrical discipline.
· Experience with OSHA, food safety rules, and regulations
· Experience with electrical installations and wiring practices.
· Experience in repairing and troubleshooting sensing and control devices. ( Troubleshooting & Conveying Systems Screw or Drag Conveyers Pneumatic Conveyers )
· Working knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies (vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasonics, motor testing, etc.).
· Experience with precision maintenance techniques (sheave alignment, belt tensioning, fastener torque, balancing, etc.).
· Demonstrates an effective ability to teach/coach others.
· Experience working in a team environment.
· Experience with plant floor automation, office Ethernet, DeviceNet, and Controlnet wiring preferred but not required.
· Understanding of plant electrical systems.
· Understanding of electrical safety regulation, NFPA 70E, and NEC regulation.
· Assesses own strengths and weaknesses, pursues training and development opportunities, strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, and shares expertise with others.
Physical requirements and working conditions (with or without reasonable accommodation):
· Willing and able to work in a plant environment that at times, may be dusty, include temperature extremes, involve climbing, heavy lifting, and other forms of physical exertion.
· Willing and able to work with wheat products, dust, i.e. no wheat /gluten sensitivity, intolerance and/or allergies.
Other considerations:
Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.
